We believe in the one true sovereign God, who lives forever in three beings, the Father, Son (Jesus Christ) and Holy Spirit. Who created the heavens and the earth and all things in it for His majesty, to honour, worship and obey God. Through the divine inspiration and authority of God’s word brought together in the Old and New Testament our sin and God’s judgement on it, which is death and separation from God, is revealed to all man. At the same time God’s love is shown to us in that He gave His only son Jesus Christ, born of the virgin Mary, to live among us, die on the cross as an atonement for our sins, be risen from the grave and now be seated again with God. This salvation is by personal faith made possible by God’s grace. We believe in a personal relationship with God through the help of the Holy Spirit until the return and reign of Jesus Christ in a new heaven and new earth.
We believe in the traditional understanding of marriage and family life as revealed in the Bible.
We believe that each child is given to us from God to nurture and guide in God’s truths, so that they too may come to acknowledge their own sin, repent, and receive Jesus Christ as their own personal saviour and Lord, and then be equipped for His good works.
We believe, in accordance with the Bible, that the primary responsibility for bringing up and educating children lies with parents and not with the state.
We believe that a Christian home based education that prioritises a child’s relationship with God as the most important aspect of a child’s education, aligns with the biblical instructions to, “Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.” (Proverbs 22:6) and to “seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” (Matthew 6:33).
The education of a child’s heart, soul and strength to honour, worship and obey God is our first priority as parents and therefore as parents it is our role to teach God’s plan and purpose for our children’s lives as the bible directs us to, “The LORD our God, the LORD is one! You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.” (Deuteronomy 6:4-7).
